Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant - Manufacturing Industry

Senior Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• G/L Closing and Journal Entries:
• Drive monthly and year-end General Ledger (G/L) closing processes for multiple locations.
• Prepare, review, and enter journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Compliance and Transaction Review:
• Ensure all transactions comply with applicable company policies and procedures.
• Verify transactions are properly approved and recorded in line with current accounting standards.
• Financial Documentation:
• Prepare working papers, schedules, and reports to support accounting activities and audit requirements.
• Examine documentation to verify the accuracy of computations and ensure completeness.
• Account Reconciliations:
• Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in account balances.
• Financial Analysis:
• Analyze business performance drivers and prepare reports for management review.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Treasury Functions:
• Set up ACH payments, wires, and positive pay uploads with the bank.
• Manage daily positive pay exceptions and clear any discrepancies promptly.

Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
